Spreading mulch over your plantings is the best way to save time in maintaining your garden area, in many ways. Watering and weed control are two of those ways.  Mulch helps the soil hold moisture so you don't have to water as often.  It also suppresses weeds and keeps them to a bare minimum.

Over time, mulches made from organic materials break down and increase your soil's structure and fertility.

If you want plants that come to flower quickly and provide a long season of blooms, we recommend choosing perennials and annuals.

Perennials last forever and annuals create and add additional color to a garden area.
